Tony Mata✝️ About the Founder: Antonio “Tony” Mata
President / Founder, Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC)

Tony Mata is a grateful believer in Jesus Christ who has been walking in recovery since October 2002. Having experienced the challenges of addiction firsthand—including two court-ordered treatment programs—Tony began his healing journey through secular 12-step groups and church retreat ministries. Today, he lives a transformed life, grounded in faith and driven by purpose.
Tony is the founder of JHP Recovery, a Christ-centered recovery program inspired by his personal testimony and commitment to helping others discover freedom through faith. As an LCDC, he works at a residential treatment facility, supporting adult men in changing criminal and addictive thought patterns and behaviors.

He’s been joyfully married for 17 years, with one adult daughter and a teenage son. Tony finds strength in weekly worship, in both contemporary services and Mass with his family—and enjoys traveling, cooking, and celebrating life’s everyday blessings.
